Joshua Slocum enthusiast has dreams of his own solo circumnavigation

For eight years, Bob Millikin patiently cut, drilled and welded into shape the sailboat of his dreams. In a few weeks, he launches the 38-foot aluminum boat he modeled after the sloop of Joshua Slocum, the first person known to have sailed around the world alone in 1895.

Now he has dreams of his own solo circumnavigation.
