What makes Boatbuilding.net unique is that it is an online community, connecting professional and amateur
boat builders and designers featuring innovations in classic and modern boatbuilding techniques, news,
and information.
Unlike other boating websites, Boatbuilding.net was not designed to sell cheesy ads, blatantly promote products, or
to send spam. Boatbuilding.net was designed to provide access to news, product reviews, useful tutorials, and
inspirational projects while showcasing innovations in classic and modern boat design and construction.
While there are a number of site administrators who moderate and post news stories, the vast majority of articles
posted to this site come directly from you, the reader. You can submit them via our
submit story page (preferred) or by e-mail to
news@boatbuilding.net. As a result, we try to cover a wide variety of
boatbuilding issues and perspectives.
New stories are generally posted on a daily basis, so visit us frequently for updates. We recommend book
marking this site, or even making it your home page. To search through our database, use the search box on the top
right of each page.
Every article posted to Boatbuilding.net has a comments section, which readers can access by clicking on the
"Read More / Post Comments..." link at the bottom of each article blurb. Here, readers can discuss the content
of the story and share information. Anonymous posting is allowed, via the "Anonymous User" account, but
inappropriate material can and will be moderated out of the comment boards. Please read the
site tutorial for information on how to create an account or post to the comment boards
on this site.
We're always looking for suggestions on how to improve Boatbuilding.net. Feel free to
e-mail us and let us know if you're having any problems or if
you have an idea you'd like to share. This site has a lot of potential, but you, the reader, are what makes
it successful. Make use of it, and tell others about it. The most important contribution you can make to this site
is by submitting quality news stories or posting thoughtful comments on stories.
We hope you will make use of Boatbuilding.net not only as an online resource for boat building, repair, and
restoration, but as a place where you can share your experiences and learn from others.
